Anyone who’s been reading my blog for a while will know all about my love for PATTERNITY, so when I saw they were doing an inspiration tour around the Barbican (one of my favourite places in London), of course I bought a ticket. Even in the (surprisingly) cold wind, it was worth every cent – so good to be wandering around with a bunch of people who also liked taking photos of lots of random things and lovely patterns and textures. I loved meeting the Patterniteam (I was totally fan girling, and I’m not even ashamed), and all of the other people on the tour – it was a really diverse group of people and they were all super interesting. I don’t even need to tell you how inspiring it was. If you aren’t signed up to their newsletter, you should be – they have events all the time, and have promised to have more of these sorts of things (shout out to Liv who gave me at least 5 bits of new information which I immediately came home and reported to the husband). Except be warned – you’ll be competing with me for tickets to whatever comes up! In all seriousness though, you should definitely go to one of their events, even if you have a remote interest in the subject – the tour was incredibly well researched, and it was great to meet so many new people. You can check out their upcoming events here, or sign up to their newsletter via their website.
