INSPIRATION // DESIGN #1.1

INSPIRATION // DESIGN #1.1
5th July 2015 admin

I’ve been working on something a little new – I hinted at it a little while ago – I’ve started designing again. I’m a little rusty! But getting there. I forgot how much I enjoyed it so I am turning it into a regular feature – posting an inspiration, and then the design I’ve interpreted it into. I’m super excited about this! Especially because I’m going to be sharing bits of my visual diary with you, which is my favourite ‘design tool’ (not sure what else to call it?!)

The first one is a bit of a longer project, so tonight I’m posting the inspiration, and the designs tomorrow. And hey, maybe one day I’ll get around to turning some of these into real clothes!

Anyway, I don’t want to write too much about the inspiration – I want to let the images speak for themselves (and give you a chance to interpret them in your own way). The overarching inspiration was The Futurist movement, especially Bruno Munari (graphic shapes and lines, repetition, etc).
